First 2 days of KCW, I`ve been busy sewing little shoes for my girl. She just starts to stand up on her own, everywhere. I just needed something to cover her feet. As she`s not walking jet, it`s not necessary to buy her shoes. The leather shoes i found in store look all the same. I couldn`t find just a solid black one, she could wear to every outfit. Time to do it myself.
It was a time-consuming project. No, not the sewing. But the pattern drafting. I just wanted to try my hand on a little shoe pattern. And I really like it. I think that could be a new addiction. So be aware, there may come a few sweet little shoes the next weeks.
It`s easy to do. Really it`s nothing complicated. You just have to measure your little one`s feet exactly. I used a nice Nappa leather. I bought from an old little shoemaker in town. It`s so soft. As it is so fine, I lined the whole shoe. To layers of leather. It gives a nice finish. But, if I`ll do so next time, i have to make my shoepattern a tiny bit bigger. My little beans feet is not going to fit in for long. But fortunately, we know a sweet little girl who is just a few moths younger. So this is going to be a gift soon. And i`ve got a good excuse to sew a second pair.
My sewing went quite well this KCW. There was just no time left, to get pictures and posts in time. But i`m going to show you my projects over the next few days. That`s live with a baby, day`s do never have enough hours do get everything done in time.
