Sylvia of Lily and Woody and Marte of Compagnie M released a new pattern in cooperation. The pattern is designed for knits. As always you`ll find a lot of options to personalize your Lila. Even an option to sew a reversible dress in a woven fabric (I sewed a test version of this dress, and I promise i`ll blog about it soon). And of course the jumpsuit option suitable for boys and girls. You could sew a whole baby wardrobe. It`s fast to sew, you`ll probably finish this dress within an hour. You can adjust the pattern to be a t-shirt or a tunic, maybe add sleeves or pockets. A real staple pattern!
There is a nice overview of all the options here.
I used the only knit Nani Iro, I had in my stash for years. It`s so cozy and soft I once made an infinityscarf for myself out of it. But as soft and beautiful it is, it just wasn`t my color. So I decided, the time has come to use it for a project that will get worn a lot. I think this fabric just waited for the Lila Pattern to come.
I sewed the basic dress version in a size 92 without the box-pleat, but with a real pocket instead of the faux one.
I guess, a pink button should be on all me dresses from now on. I think it`s the main reason, why she loves the dress so much. I really ask myself sometimes where her strong liking for pink comes from. I never ever pushed her in this direction.
So hurry up and get your copies, until tomorrow 11.59pm (CET +1 timezone) the discount code LILA10 is valid. And there is a nice fabric give-away going on.
This beautiful fabric and the Lila dress are indeed a match made in heaven! I also love the pink button ❤
thanks sylvia, yes the pink button :). at the moment i’ll just do everything that she’ll like her new makes.
What a nice version of the liladress! I like the idea to add a button in the color of which I have body’s. It’s sometimes hard to find matching body’s. En the photo’s of your little girl are stunning; I am lokkig forward to the moment I can take pictures like that!
thanks a lot! yes i’m lucky with the pictures! they’re taken by my husband who’s a professional. if i would take them they wouldn’t look that good for sure ;)!
